Toa Technologies has added a new module to its workforce management tools that allows users to communicate with each other within the system, an obvious-enough capability but one that was nevertheless lacking in any such product in the market.
The company’s ETAdirect Smart Collaboration connects people in the field to each other based on a variety of contextual and location-based information parameters.
For example, if field workers are missing equipment while on the road, they don't have to use a smartphone and log in to email just to contact dispatch for help locating another piece of equipment. Using ETAdirect Smart Collaboration, they quickly identify and connect with a colleague who is located nearby and has the equipment, skill and availability.
