Pete Thompson, vice president of Microsoft Mediaroom, has joined the board of directors of SeaWell Networks.
Thompson brings extensive market awareness, knowledge and experience to the SeaWell team. Since joining Microsoft in 2006, Thompson’s successes include the development of a breakthrough in Natural User Interface with Microsoft Surface and leading the largest gaming and social network in the living room with Xbox Live.
“Thompson brings proven leadership experience and a diverse industry background to the SeaWell team,” said John Major, chair of board of directors at SeaWell Networks. “This, combined with his unmatched enthusiasm, will be a strategic asset in helping SeaWell expand to further successes.”

Before joining Microsoft, Thompson developed new products and services at T-Mobile, Graviton, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola and Levi Strauss & Co. Thompson earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Economics at UCLA and a Master’s Degree in Management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
