The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) has entered into a purchasing deal with Evolution Digital for the latter's DTAs and TiVo Premiere DVRs. The NCTC will aggregate its members' orders for the devices to gain lower per-unit price.
Evolution Digital said it has already received multiple orders through NCTC for delivery in April.
The NCTC has also arranged to have Evolution back the sales with the company's Factory-To-Home-Fulfillment, which includes custom-branded self-install kits, even for smaller quantity orders.
Evolution also included its TiVo launch program, complete with a user-friendly online operator portal to manage activations, a TiVo Operator Toolkit, and training and marketing kick-off support for NCTC members.
Marc Cohen, executive vice president of sales for Evolution Digital, said the arrangement "allows the independent operator to quickly deploy the latest technology for bandwidth reclamation and advanced set-top boxes and launch advanced services."
Evolution Digital's SD uDTA and HD uDTA series work in both Motorola and Cisco systems.
NCTC members will be able to get Evolution's DTAs and TiVo DVRs at lower prices through NCTC volume purchasing.
