BigBand Networks has signed a reseller agreement with European broadband cable and telecommunications equipment supplier Technetix Group.
Technetix will be able to resell BigBand’s vIP Pass video IP delivery platform and CVEx (Converged Video Exchange) intelligent software control plane.
CVEx facilitates convergence between different video applications and end-user screens. BigBand’s vIP Pass is designed to allow service providers to achieve IPTV goals with a faster time to market and lower operating and capital expense than with other transport alternatives.
"We’re pleased to work with BigBand to address the market demand for high-quality, interactive, on-demand video delivery, which is growing at an exceptional pace," said Paul Broadhurst, CEO of Technetix Group. "We can now offer our clients a more turnkey approach with proven video solutions that capitalize on existing infrastructure to help them rollout new services quickly and cost-effectively. BigBand has proven, reliable, high-quality video solutions, and we are delighted to partner with them."
