Cedar Point Communications will be at the Anga Show in Germany showing its recent application suite for its VoIP switch providing the ability to simultaneously serve PCs, mobile devices and TVs.
The SafariFusion Application Platform for the company’s Safari C3 system, based on PacketCable 2.0/IMS (PC 2.0/IMS), is designed to enable cable system operators to offer new, highly differentiated services that expand beyond existing, television-based call management applications.
Jeff Walker, vice president of marketing for Cedar Point Communications, said: “With SafariFusion VCS, we can now provide operators with the ability to bring standard communication services features to any endpoint that may be part of the consumer’s day-to-day life. By leveraging the SafariFusion Application Platform’s standards-based development kit, we are rapidly iterating a new generation of converged services that can significantly improve the way subscribers can access messages, dial calls and manage communications in general.”
The SafariFusion Application Platform leverages industry standard Web 2.0 tools and applications for rapid deployment of multimedia communications services. SafariFusion also has been designed to enable an evolutionary strategy that combines seamless migration to PC 2.0/IMS architectures with investment protection for existing NCS and SIP endpoints.
