The National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) said today that Federal Communications Commission chairman Julius Genachowski will speak to attendees of the upcoming Cable Show 2010 in Los Angeles.
Chairman Genachowski will appear at a general session of the Cable Show at 9 a.m. PDT on Thursday, , May 13, 2010, at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
This will be Chairman Genachowski's first appearance at the conference as FCC Chairman, having been sworn into office on June 29, 2009.
The Cable Show 2010, NCTA's 59th Annual Convention and International Exposition, takes place May 11-13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the adjacent Nokia Theater.
It’s not the first time in recent memory that the FCC’s chairman has attended the Cable Show. Former chairman Kevin Martin gave a keynote address in 2007  when the Cable Show was held in Las Vegas.
