Bright House Networks, the nation’s sixth-largest MSO, is set to launch Caller ID on PC later this month across its entire footprint.
Caller ID on PC lets customers who are working on their computers know when someone is calling and who it is, regardless of where they are connected to the Internet. The service is available for free to Bright House Networks' customers who subscribe to the company’s data and phone services.
Bright House Networks previously launched a Caller ID on TV application, and with the PC application, its subscribers can now track calls across their phones, TVs and computers.
Caller ID on PC is part of a new series of features being debuted through the Bright House Networks Easy Gadget platform. Bright House said Easy Gadget can be accessed using both Windows and Apple operating systems and combines the benefits of a customer's bundled high-speed data and phone services, providing them access to features including personalized contacts, recent call history, voicemail on the PC and text messaging.
