Cablevision said today that it’s offering up to 24 lines of its phone service for businesses across its entire New York metropolitan area footprint.
The phone service, called Optimum Voice, is available through Optimum Business and features flat-rate pricing and unlimited local and long-distance calling within the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada without hidden fees or taxes.
In addition, up to 14 business features, including enhanced voicemail, “find me,” rollover hunting and three-way calling, are offered at no additional charge.
“Optimum Business is committed to offering business customers a full array of advanced services and significantly more value than our competitors,” said Joseph Varello, Cablevision's vice president of voice and small and medium business services. “With the ability to offer 24 business lines, Optimum Business is addressing a segment of the market that has historically been underserved by legacy phone companies – mid-size businesses with up to 100 employees.”
Cablevision said Optimum Business was designed for small or home-based offices that require robust Internet and voice services.
Cablevision touted the benefit of pairing its 24-line service with its Optimum Online Ultra data service, which currently has the fastest download speed in the nation at 101 Mbps (story here ).
