Decker Anstrom, president and COO of Landmark Communications, will be the honoree at the 2003 dinner for the Walter Kaitz Foundation (WKF), slated for Sept. 17 in New York City.
During his cable career, Decker most recently served as president of the Weather Channel, and before that, headed up the National Cable & Telecommunications Association.
WKF also announced that Comcast Corp. President and CEO Brian Roberts will serve as the Dinner Chairman for the 20th annual fundraiser, which supports programs designed to create greater industry diversity.
"At this 20th year mark, it is particularly fitting that we honor Decker Anstrom, an industry leader who has paved the way for many," said Glenn Britt, WKF chairman and chairman and CEO of Time Warner Cable, in a statement. "Decker has always made diversity part and parcel of his strategic business approach."
