Princeton, N.J.—Triveni Digital has augmented its product portfolio to support MPEG-4 deployments for digital television (DTV) services. The real-time StreamScope MT-40 is an MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 transport stream monitoring and analysis unit for DTV signals carried by broadcast, cable, IPTV, mobile or satellite networks.
Designed with both broadcasters and MSOs in mind, the MT-40 features ASI, QPSK, 64/256 QAM, VSB, SMPTE 310 and Gigabit Ethernet support, plus file inputs and interfaces to the GuideBuilder metadata management systems for Triveni Digital's new Business Intent Assurance feature. Stream profiling and comparison, template learning, remote monitoring capabilities, and IP routes analysis are managed via "user-friendly" interfaces.
Retaining the features of previous StreamScope MT versions, the MT-40's distributed monitoring architecture is enhanced with fifth-generation 8-VSB receiver technology. A visualization station may be configured to monitor multiple systems over an Intranet or Internet connection.

The dedicated on-demand button is exclusive for a standard subscription broadcast remote. In addition, programmable macros enable cable operators to promote their pay-perview channels or other premium services much more effectively, according to the company. Both the on-demand button and macros can be factory-set to satisfy the specific needs of individual cable systems.
CLIKR 5 is engineered to control up to five components, and operate all digital Motorola, Scientific Atlanta, Pioneer and Pace set-top boxes—including HD and DVR models. It also features one-button "power all" control for total system on/off. The remote control comes pre- programmed with a comprehensive code library, has the ability to be upgraded, and has an optional learning capability.
