Ericsson today announced that it has signed a multi-year broadcast and media services deal with BT Sport to launch three new television channels and an interactive red button service in the UK. Ericsson will be responsible for designing, building and running BT Sport Europe, free-to-air service BT Sport Showcase, and BT Sport UHD. BT Sport UHD will be the first ultra-high-definition channel to launch in the UK. BT Sport's new BT Sport Extra red button service will enable viewers to choose between eight UEFA games broadcast live simultaneously. As part of the deal, BT Sport has extended Ericsson's existing six-year contract for BT Sport 1 and 2 by an additional three years.

DigiCert, a global certificate authority (CA) and provider of identity solutions, today announced its acquisition of the CyberTrust Enterprise SSL business from Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition makes DigiCert the second-largest CA for high-assurance SSL certificates. As part of the deal, DigiCert will assume management of the CyberTrust/Verizon trusted roots and intermediate certificates. Verizon will continue to offer SSL certificates as a reseller of DigiCert.

VisualOn, a multimedia software company that enables video and audio across connected devices, today announced that the company is powering TalkTalk's TV2Go application. TalkTalk, a UK provider of TV, broadband, mobile and home phone, now provides mobile media playback of shows and films to its 1.4 million TV customers on any connected device. VisualOn's OnStream MediaPlayer+ currently powers more than 200 million mobile devices around the globe.

C-COM Satellite Systems, a global provider of mobile auto-deploying satellite antenna systems, announced today that it has authorized its integrator NJ Albert to resell its ViaSat approved Ka-Band iNetVu antenna systems across Canada. NJ Albert, based in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare (Québec), has been a C-COM certified Ku-band reseller for a number of years, and will be the first to deliver Ka-band mobile business solutions to their customers across Canada.
