Aslam Khader has joined Elemental Technologies as chief product officer, hired to drive product strategy and help scale product development as the company continues its expansion.
Khader brings more than 25 years of tenure in the interactive TV and digital rights management space to his role at Elemental.
Prior to joining Elemental, Aslam was chief technology and product officer at Ensequence, where he spent more than ten years working with service providers and content programmers formulating, developing and delivering interactive TV products, services and platforms. Prior to Ensequence, Aslam was at Intertrust Technologies as VP of product marketing setting direction and requirements for new video DRM products.
He also worked at Sequent prior to its acquisition by IBM in various product management and marketing roles in both Japan and the United States.
His experience at the intersection of pay TV, programming and advertising make him a key addition to the company as it gives customers the tools needed to effectively monetize multiscreen video, Elemental said.
“Aslam will align and unify our product development with the major technology and business trends we’re seeing in the video industry,” said Sam Blackman, CEO and co-founder of Elemental Technologies. “Elemental and its customers will benefit tremendously from his expertise as we scale our solutions portfolio apace with the growing multiscreen industry as it moves to all IP delivery.”
