Suddenlink Communications announced today that it has launched Music Choice’s SWRV linear channel, which is a music video network that allows viewers to interact with the content online and through their mobile devices.
The 24/7 linear channel will appear in Suddenlink’s Digital Family Tier or Digital Variety Tier subscriber packages, where available.
SWRV features primarily mainstream pop and hit-driven music videos. The channel lets Suddenlink customers create video introductions for their families and friends via texting, uploading video online and submitting photos. Viewers can also vote on which video will be the next one to play.
“We’re pleased to make SWRV available. It adds something new and different for our digital TV customers,” said Suddenlink senior vice president and chief programming officer Patty McCaskill. “Viewers can interact with the music network, influence programming content and create their own videos for SWRV.”
SWRV has launched with Cox Communications, AT&T, Verizon and RCN.
