Deep packet inspection vendor Procera Networks announced that Trevis Schuh has joined the company in the newly created position of vice president of global support and quality.

Procera said Schuh’s appointment was the latest in a number of newly added vice president positions at the company as it seeks to grow revenues and increase its worldwide presence.

In his new job, Schuh will implement the teams, systems, processes and maintenance controls to maintain quality, while delivering increased product capabilities as Procera scales its business to meet customer needs.

"Schuh is a seasoned leader who understands the requirements, processes and teams necessary to support our expanding installed base of customers and world-class brand," said Procera Networks CEO Jim Brear. "His ability to deliver the highest level of product and support services will drive customer satisfaction and retention among Procera's global and Tier 1 customers."

Schuh has more than 20 years of telecom and networking operations and customer service experience from both telecom carriers and networking product providers. Most recently, he was the vice president of worldwide support and services at Meru Networks, a provider of wireless LAN infrastructure systems, where he managed global technical support, professional services, educational services and service maintenance.

Prior to that, he was vice president of worldwide customer service for Trapeze Networks and also held management roles at Spectralink, Global Crossing and Frontier Communications.

Procera has been racking up customer wins in the United States, including a large, unnamed cable operator.
