Sidera Networks announced that Acetylon Pharmaceuticals, a researcher and developer of drugs to treat cancer and autoimmune and other diseases, picked its Internet access service to power the company's Boston headquarters.
Acetylon recently secured $28 million in a recent round of funding and needed to find a service provider to provide secure and reliable bandwidth to its headquarters, located in the developing Seaport district of Boston.
Sidera Networks was formerly known as RCN Metro Optical Networks until Abry Partners bought RCN and subsequently renamed and split-off the commercial services division as Sidera. RCN has had a strong presence in Boston for years.
"Sidera is proud to provide secure network solutions that enable high-growth companies like Acetylon to focus on their mission," said Mike Sicoli, CEO of Sidera Networks. "With Sidera as a trusted partner, Acetylon can be confident that they'll have the bandwidth and network performance they need to succeed, not just today, but into the future as well."
