Time Warner Cable Business Class has partnered with Enteracloud to deliver hosted private cloud services to small business and enterprise customers in Southern California.

The non-exclusive partnership pairs Enteracloud's cloud computing platform with Time Warner Cable's fiber interconnection services. The service offerings give business customers the ability to remotely customize their cloud environments on a scalable, secure private cloud infrastructure.

"We are very excited to announce our partnership with Time Warner Cable to deliver an enterprise-class private hosted cloud offering that only a provider with such a high concentration of fiber connectivity to Southern California can provide," said Tim Doscher, CTO of Enteracloud. "This partnership presents an ideal solution for small businesses – small businesses and enterprises seeking faster and simpler ways to build premium, customized private clouds that maximize business value in the locations where they need them to be. As the cloud market continues to mature and more organizations look to strategically build and position clouds throughout the Southern California market, Time Warner offers the reliability of a high-speed fiber network."

Within Enteracloud's carrier-dense, SLA-ensured Cloud Connection Centers, customers can pick the best carrier with the appropriate latency to meet their needs. Enteracloud's cloud platform optimizes comprehensive infrastructure as a service (IaaS) platform, enabling IT organizations to virtualize and manage commodity hardware as public, private or hybrid clouds.

Enteracloud said its platform, on average, improves IT infrastructure utilization from the average 15 percent to more than 85 percent, maximizing the value of capital IT investments.

Small businesses and enterprise cloud owners can remotely customize and manage their hosted private cloud environment, while improving security and performance with the private interconnection services provided by Time Warner Cable.

"Time Warner Cable is working with Enteracloud to further advance our goal to become the destination for cloud enablement for our customers," said Time Warner Cable's Greg Wisniewski. "Working with partners such as Enteracloud helps us better serve our client needs and the fast-growing cloud community. It's an efficient, cost-effective, secure way for our customers to quickly build private hosted clouds and connect them privately into their networks."

Time Warner Cable's recent third-quarter revenues received a big boost from its business services sector, which accounted for 55 percent of its revenue growth in the third quarter. Cloud vendor NaviSite, which Time Warner Cable bought for $230 million earlier this year, accounted for 20 percent of the company's revenue growth. Business services revenues in the quarter increased 36 percent to $387 million.

Carlsbad, Calif.-based Enteracloud has colocation centers in San Diego, Los Angeles and Phoenix.

This morning, Enteracloud announced it would be providing 100 Mbps fiber Internet connectivity to Radisson Hotels in San Diego. Enteracloud's hospitality platform, which is free to hotel guests, is provisioned by Cisco's networking hardware.
