Time Warner Cable recently promoted John Quigley to the position of regional vice president of operations for New York City.
In his new role, Quigley reports to Mike Munley, president of residential services for the East Region at Time Warner Cable.
Time Warner Cable competes against Verizon and satellite video providers in four of New York City's boroughs. Quigley, with more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, is now responsible for executing strategic initiatives that improve the overall customer experience and support residential subscriber growth in the New York City area.
"John is well known for strong leadership and a relentless focus on delivering the best possible customer experience," Munley said. "As we continue to enhance and launch new services, John will help lead our more than 3,900 local employees to consistently meet our customers' needs and expectations."
Quigley previously served as area vice president for Time Warner Cable's Albany operation, where Time Warner Cable said he established a track record of excellence in both customer service and field operations. Prior to Time Warner Cable, Quigley held various leadership positions at Sprint. He began his career as a technician for Nynex Mobile Communications after serving in the U.S. Navy.
"Returning to New York City, where I grew up, and working at the company that leads in delivering broadband and entertainment to New Yorkers is tremendously exciting for me," said Quigley. "As we continue to compete aggressively for every customer and work harder to improve and build upon our services and network, I feel confident we'll continue our legacy as the best choice for broadband Internet and entertainment in TWC's hometown."
Time Warner Cable's New York City footprint serves more than 1.3 million customers in four New York City boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn); Mt. Vernon; Hudson Valley (Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties and parts of Dutchess, Greene and Delaware counties); and Bergen and Hudson counties in New Jersey.
