Time Warner Cable has kicked off the college football season by launching the Big Ten Networks' multi-platform BTN2Go in several of its systems.

The Big Ten Network is a joint venture between the Big Ten Conference, which now includes Nebraska, and Fox Networks.

BTN2Go features a live feed of all BTN television programming, including live game telecasts and extra football game channels, which are part-time channels available on football Saturdays when BTN airs more than one game simultaneously.

BTN2Go viewers will also have on-demand access to BTN's archives, including current season games from the Big Ten Conference's television partners. Additional programming includes game highlights, coaches' shows and original shows.

The online service is available at no additional cost to subscribers who receive BTN as part of their TV channel lineup.

The service is available to Time Warner Cable subscribers in its northeast Ohio/western Pennsylvania system and the Carolinas system.

While BTN2Go content is currently available via its Web portal, Time Warner Cable subscribers will eventually access BTN2Go on three platforms: the Internet, iPad and iPhone. The iPad and iPhone launches are slated for later this month, while BTN is exploring alternative platforms for BTN2Go, including Android. Specific launch dates for other devices and platforms will be forthcoming.
