Comcast subscribers with BlackBerry devices now have access to the cable operator's free Xfinity Mobile app.
The app lets Comcast customers remotely schedule their DVRs, as well as view TV listings that can be integrated with BlackBerry calendars.
Other features include a unified inbox with Comcast emails and visual voicemail for Comcast's home phone service. The app also allows subscribers to forward their home phone calls to their Blackberry devices and sync their Blackberry and Xfinity contacts.
On the video side, Comcast customers can view on-demand movie trailers.
"The Xfinity Mobile app lets you take the best features of our TV, Internet and phone services with you on the go, so you can stay connected at any time from any location," wrote Raghu Rao, Comcast's vice president of product management, on Comcast's blog page.
The Xfinity Mobile app for BlackBerry supports BlackBerry operating system 4.6 and higher, and it works with the following devices: Curve 8900, 8520, 8530, 9300 and 9330; Bold 9000, 9650 and 9700; Storm and Storm 2; Tour; and Torch.
