The Outdoor Channel continues its march across Comcast's systems, with Houston being the latest area to add Outdoor Channel HD to its Xfinity TV lineup.

Earlier this year, Comcast added the channel in its Michigan region, in Charleston, S.C., and in Knoxville, Tenn.

"Comcast continues to be a great partner for us, and we're excited to extend the reach of our Outdoor Channel brand in Houston," said Tom Hornish, chief operating officer of Outdoor Channel. "This agreement is a tremendous step forward in serving local outdoorsmen and women who are more engaged and invested in our brand than ever."

Outdoor Channel HD is available to Comcast's Digital Preferred HD subscribers and is also offered on Comcast's linear channel lineup.

"Comcast customers in Houston will be the first to enjoy Outdoor Channel in high-definition," said Michael Bybee, spokesman for Comcast Houston. "We look forward to offering Outdoor Channel HD's compelling outdoor lifestyle programming in pristine quality through our Xfinity service and activating the interests of area hunters, anglers and other outdoorsmen seeking to dually be entertained and informed."
