Insight Communications has elected to rely on itaas to install, test and provide support for its EBIF platform.
The MSO talked about expanding its service offerings, without specifying which EBIF-based services it might be implementing.
Itaas yesterday revealed a new program called iLaunch, in which it will provide all of the support an MSO might need to implement EBIF applications. And iLaunch comes with what itaas referred to as a basic starter kit that comes with three applications: Remind and Record; QuickStart; and News, Weather & Sports Info.
"With EBIF deployed throughout its markets, Insight will be able to offer an enhanced interactive experience across its entire footprint of set-tops," said Jim Elayan, vice president of marketing at itaas. "Having worked with other major cable operators on their EBIF deployments, we will bring our in-depth knowledge to Insight to provide a smooth implementation of technology."
