Liwest Kabelmedien GmbH, the second-largest Austrian cable operator, recently picked Arris to help monitor and manage its DOCSIS network operations.
Liwest, which serves more than 135,000 residential and business customers in upper Austria, is using Arris' ServAssure Advanced Performance Management Software to manage its DOCSIS network.
ServAssure Advanced gives cable providers the ability to proactively address network and customer service assurance while reducing mean time to repair (MTTR) by presenting complex data and health metrics in meaningful, organized views.
Arris said the diagnostics, along with recommendations, help operators improve customer satisfaction, increase network capacity and reduce operational costs with minimal capex.
ServAssure also provides customer experience monitoring and performance tools to optimize the quality and capacity of DOCSIS networks, enabling improvements in available bandwidth and customer quality of experience (QoE).
