JDSU has new 10 GbE testing tools to be used with next-generation converged Ethernet networks with emerging Data Center Bridging (DCB) and Fiber Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) technologies.
The Xgig High Density 10 GbE Load Tester Solution adds a Delay Emulator and Medusa Labs Test Tools (MLTT) Suite version 4.0 for measuring the impact of long fiber runs on network latency and performance.
The Delay Emulator MLTT 4.0 offers support for TCP applications, which JDSU says makes MLTT the first software-based commercial analysis and benchmarking tool to provide accurate visibility into SAN, LAN and converged Ethernet network performance while operating at line rate.
The tools include support for Layer 2-3 testing of 10 GbE converged Ethernet networks and automated testing and benchmarking according to industry standards to accelerate equipment qualification and time to market.
With the 10 GbE tools, the company is claiming the industry's highest port density with 32 ports in a single 3U chassis.
