Suddenlink Communications announced yesterday that it signed a definitive agreement to purchase a system from Windjammer Communications in Greenwood, Miss.
With the acquisition, Suddenlink picked up roughly 8,200 customers in Greenwood and the surrounding area. Suddenlink already offers its triple-play services to customers in Greenville, Miss., which is about 50 miles west of Greenwood.
The deal is slated to close in the third quarter, and financial terms weren’t available.
Suddenlink is the nation’s seventh-largest cable operator, with customers primarily located in Arkansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia.
Windjammer Cable provides triple-play services to more than 60,000 residential and commercial customers in 19 states.
