Over the past several weeks, Bresnan Communications has launched a revamped Web portal for its subscribers by using Synacor’s content and technology portfolio.

The new Web portal includes Synacor’s customizable portal and toolbar, and Bresnan plans to add family, educational and games premium content in the near future from the Synacor portfolio of value-added services.  In addition, the Synacor platform increases the ability of Bresnan subscribers to manage their television and Web video experiences at their personal computers.

”Bresnan Communications continually seeks new ways to increase the value of our broadband product for our users,” said Bresnan vice president Gus Chimos. “Synacor services will help us to offer a wider, more compelling array of information and entertainment on our portal in a highly functional platform.”

Synacor’s customizable Web portals are designed to serve as the primary dashboard for the consumption of consumer services, including news, weather and other features, and serves as a gateway to branded news, entertainment, sports, finance and other content offerings.

Bresnan, the nation’s thirteenth largest cable operator that is partly owned by Comcast, serves over 300,000 customers in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah.
