This Technology, a provider of metadata and advanced advertising supply management software for digital television, is giving cable operators the opportunity to kick the tires on its advanced advertising platform.

This Technology is making available a demonstration of its MetaMore Server and SpotBuilder products via its Web site. According to This Technology, the demonstration was designed to enable cable operators and networks to experience better and simplified management of advanced advertising supply and content, including video-on-demand (VOD) playlisting and placement opportunity management for linear and VOD offerings.

"The benefits of rolling out advanced advertising on a large scale are obvious, but the path to success is marred with challenges stemming from operational complexity and the lack of control over content and advertising space," said Jeffrey Sherwin, founder of This Technology. "This Technology's MetaMore Server and SpotBuilder enable easy, efficient and comprehensive control of advanced advertising supply and content to help reduce costs and maximize revenue. Now we're letting the cable industry experience firsthand the power of these products to help realize the full potential of advanced advertising."

MetaMore Server software provides its users with Web-based tools for editing content metadata.

SpotBuilder is the advanced advertising supply manager for content providers, enabling control over the content experience and supply of advanced advertising units for both linear and on-demand content.

Earlier this month, CableLabs announced that it had selected This Technology’s MetaMore software platform for use by its Metadata project (story here).
