Ahead of next week’s TelcoTV show in Anaheim, Calif., Latens announced yesterday that it has released its newest IPTV middleware platform in the United States.

Latens said its ECOsystem (ECO) 4.0 IPTV middleware now includes a second-generation user interface (UI), VoIP, and enables an IPTV operator to provide all pay-TV functionality securely across home networking environments that include set-top boxes, DVRs and PCs.

The new UI has better graphics and an enhanced electronic programming guide, according to Latens.

For telcos, ECO 4.0 is built on open standards using Latens’ conditional access software, and can be customized to fit a provider’s changing needs.

TelcoTV starts Tuesday and runs through Thursday.
