A web-based company founded by a couple of former Time Warner Cable execs has launched what it’s calling an interactive program guide (IPG) for web video.
Invision.TV’s Ultimate Guide to Internet Video, which debuted today as a beta, is a Web-based application that finds, indexes and organizes millions of videos from a wide variety of video sites, such as CNN, Hulu, Funny or Die, etc.
Viewers can customize the IPG. Options are available for search & discovery, social networking, and personalization.
Derrick Frost is the founder & CEO of Invision.TV. Frost once served as SVP of operations and engineering for Time Warner Cable’s Broadband Division, where he was part of the founding executive team for the Road Runner Internet service and Time Warner's VoIP service.
The company’s COO is Jeff King, who served as corporate executive vice president at Time Warner Cable and president of the Road Runner High Speed On-Line cable Internet service.
