Solekai Systems said that it has completed its Tuning Resolver Interface Simulator (TRIS), a component of the CableLabs’ Tuning Resolver project.

The TRIS is a PC-based test tool that will enable rapid development and testing of both the tuning resolver, and of advanced features within a digital video recorder (DVR) product.

A tuning resolver allows unidirectional digital cable products, or UDCPs, to be designed and verified to operate in switched digital video (SDV)-enabled cable headends.

CableLabs will be licensing the TRIS to those interested, and Solekai will continue to support, modify or enhance the tool for licensees as requested.
