The platform, called OnDemand Essentials, gives cable operators, content providers – including broadcast and cable networks and studios – and advertisers the ability to view and analyze on-demand content via a transactional tracking and reporting system.

"Rentrak allows Buckeye Cablevision an easy tool to provide timely reporting to our content provider partners," said Brad Mefford, VP and GM of Buckeye Cablevision. "Most importantly, the OnDemand Essentials service allows us to analyze the data, not only for effective management of the content, but also to explore additional revenue opportunities from the on-demand platform."

Rentrak's lineup of content providers now totals more than 80 subscribers. Rentrak processed more than 3.3 billion transactions from its operator partners in 2007, representing a 52 percent increase compared with 2006.
