Cablevisión will deploy the platform across its operations, customer support and field service systems in all of its markets.
The operator will use the OpsLogic ServiceManager to support its voice and high-speed Internet services. The ServiceManager provides real-time operations automation for network service assurance to reduce operational costs, increase service availability and improve network reliability, the company said.
Cablevisión will also utilize the OpsLogic CMUt, a bandwidth-monitoring and capacity-planning solution for tiered service offerings. The solution will allow the operator to manage bandwidth distribution/allocation across its entire network.
"Adding voice services to round out our triple-play offering requires a higher level of network service assurance – one with a real-time, 360-degree view of our subscribers and network,” said Jean Paul Broc, CEO of Cablevisión. “The Auspice OpsLogic solution gives us that capability and more. It allows us to be proactive in managing network data and events across our entire service delivery infrastructure – today and as we continue to add new subscribers and services in the future.”
The OpsLogic suite currently manages 20 million DOCSIS and PacketCable devices worldwide, the company said.
On Tuesday, Auspice signed a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with Sixbell Nekotec Solutions – a developer of software, service systems and system integration for the service provider industry. The agreement allows Sixbell to supply the Latin American communications service provider (CSP) market with the OpsLogic suite.
