In support of the multi-platform affiliate marketing campaign, those shows will be offered for free via VOD and broadband starting June 30. They are set to premiere on USA Network on July 7. NBCUC said it will mark the first time that "top rated" programs will debut prior to their traditional broadcast airing on both VOD and broadband simultaneously.
Several affiliates have signed on to participate in the promotion, including Adelphia Communications, Charter Communications, Comcast Cable, Cox Communications, Insight Communications, Time Warner Cable, Advanced Cable Communications, Bresnan Communications, Buckeye CableSystem, Knology, Patriot Media, Vista II Media and Verizon.
USA noted that each week it will also offer three-to-four minute clips of the opening scene from upcoming episodes of Monk and other ancillary content tied to the show.
