Adding more fuel to the power of the bundle, Cox Communications said more than 1 million of its customers subscribe to the "triple play" of voice, video and data services. About 3 million of Cox's 6.7 million customers get more than one service from the MSO.

The company also took a shot at telcos that are just getting video services off the ground.

"In today's marketplace, every telecom provider is trying to cobble together a bundled offering of services," said Cox CEO Jim Robbins, in a statement. "But at Cox, we've had eight years of experience perfecting a bundle that others have just begun to tackle.

Cox noted that the bundle continues to help customers on the bottom line. The MSO estimated that customers save about $150 million a year by getting all three services, rather than purchasing them separately.
