The MSO will use the CSG Data Mediation product to process customer transactions. The product will capture and manage network usage as well as send transaction information to other Insight backend systems, ensuring that customer calls are accurately recorded and billed. Under the agreement, Insight can add more customer traffic to the data mediation system as it grows its voice service.
"This flexibility will enable Insight to leverage its investment over time as it continues to add voice customers and services," said Darla Thompson, CSG's vice president of product management for the global software and services division.
CSG will also supply an interconnect billing system jointly developed with partner Integration Management, allowing Insight to exchange fees with other voice service providers when calls flow across multiple networks.
