TVN Entertainment Corp. has tacked down a deal to provide video-on-demand and transport services to Cox Communications Inc.

Cox will use the TVN content - particularly its expanding lineup of basic and specialty VOD offerings - to boost its on-demand programming lineup. The agreement covers all of Cox's on-demand markets. TVN offers more than 2,000 hours of VOD programming from more than 70 content providers. It also provides management and distribution services for VOD content, including content aggregation, packaging, encoding, asset management and satellite transport.

"We're continually enhancing and increasing our On Demand service for Cox digital customers," said Andy Albert, vice president of programming at Cox Communications. "TVN will bolster our customers' experience and enjoyment of watching television On Demand."
