ParaSun Technologies, one of the few remaining turnkey broadband ISPs, has won a deal to manage and support WEHCO Video Inc.'s cable modem service.
Under the multi-year deal, ParaSun will manage the service and provide technical support to WEHCO's 21,000 cable modem subs. WEHCO provides cable services to more than 90,000 cable customers in parts of Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.
ParaSun said it is providing the service under the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) Data Program.
ParaSun's CableRocket Management System "gives us the software tools to not only provide the provisioning and monitoring we require, but it also includes advanced bandwidth shaping features that will maximize our network connections and supply a higher quality of service," said J.P. Morbeck, WEHCO's executive vice president and chief operating officer.
