A few weeks after his brother, Zaki, resigned as CEO of Terayon Communication Systems, Shlomo Rakib said he will resign as the company's president and chief technical officer, effective today.
Shlomo, like Zaki, will remain on the Terayon board of directors and continue to help out with "strategic and technical matters."
Shlomo, a Terayon co-founder, said he plans to spend more time with his family, feeling confident that he is leaving the company with a solid foundation of technology, intellectual property and a team of talented engineers.
"Therefore, the timing is now right for me to turn my attention to my family and the next phase of my life," he said, in a release. "This move allows me to do that, while maintaining involvement with the company I love."
Zaki Rakib announced his resignation in May. In July, the company appointed Jerry Chase to the CEO slot.
