mPhase Technologies said it has added video-on-demand (VOD) capabilities to its DSL-based television platform.

The second-generation mPhase TV+ System, capable of piping 250 video channels, now offers an advanced electronic program guide that can access titles on-demand from the Kasenna Inc. server and software platform.

The upgraded system, set for availability this September, also increases to 1,000 the number of subs served by a single Lucent Technologies Access Concentrator DSLAM.
