Telcordia Technologies said it has notched an agreement to provide Cox Communications with a set of tools designed to streamline and enhance the MSO's database management efforts.

Under the deal, Cox will use Telcordia's ISCP platform, a system that will enable Cox to move all database services in-house. Cox will also offer toll-free and calling name services independently rather than outsourcing those database services to a third-party.

Telcordia's platform "will enable us to maximize our database management and streamline our network services delivery process, resulting in increased efficiencies, reduced costs and the opportunity to generate additional revenue," said Bill Dame, Cox's director of network switching, in a release.
