nCUBE Corp. said Comcast Cable Communications has deployed the vendor's Digital Advertising Insertion System in the Miami area.
The deployment covers the MSO's 1 million-subscriber system, which also accounts for subs in the surrounding Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.
The advertising upgrade consolidates operations for the local interconnect and advertising sales with 40 analog and "several" digital channels per zone, the companies said. The initial conversion will begin later this year, and include 16 zones. An eventual expansion will include more digital program insertion (DPI) channels on selected zones.
