Robert Russo will take the reins of The Cable Center as president and CEO on March 3, replacing Jim O'Brien, who stepped down last December to spend more time with his family. O'Brien was at the helm of the center for about two years.
Russo, an executive with Daniels & Associates since 1981, will head up the Denver-based Center's education, training, research and communications initiatives, including the C-SPAN Distance Learning Program and the Oral and Video History Program.
"Bob has been one of our most active volunteer leaders at The Cable Center since its inception," said Bill Bresnan, chairman of the Center's board of directors and president of Bresnan Communications, in a press release.
The multi-million dollar Cable Center officially opened its doors in late October.
