Great Wall Broadband will use ITV middleware and application software from EnReach in its set-top boxes for its market in China. EnReach says the services will launch in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
GWB is investing more than $600 million in three years on broadband infrastructure and applications in China, and so far has built networks in more than 20 cities.
EnReach provides bundled components that allow multitiered interactive services, it says. The middleware and application software GWB is using in its set-tops will allow Web browsing, e-mail VOD and music-on-demand, the company reports.
