BroadJump Inc. picked up its first international customer when Bell Canada opted to use the company's Virtual Truck line in Bell's Sympatico DSL service.
Bell Sympatico plans to start using the installation software immediately as part of a starter kit for its subscribers, BroadJump reports.
The software automates the qualifying and set-up process. BroadJump says subscribers insert the Virtual Truck Installer CD into their computers and follow the instructions to establish a connection. The Qualifier lets them know if their systems will support the technology.
Bell Canada, jointly owned by BCE Inc. of Montreal and San Antonio, Texas-based SBC Communications Inc., plans to produce its starter kits in English and French.
