YouTube reportedly set to carry pay channels

The content on the new pay channels will be in addition to the millions of videos viewers watch for free on YouTube. It's not clear whether the paid videos will come with advertising.

Mediacom’s revenues increase in first quarter

Shawnee approves Google Fiber

The Shawnee City Council said in a release that council members approved the agreement Thursday, making Shawnee the fifth Johnson County municipality to strike a deal with Google.
SEC's new network with ESPN to debut in 2014

Liberty Media wraps up $2.6 billion investment in Charter

The investment was first announced in March and now that its completed John Malone’s Liberty Media has a 27.3 percent stake in Charter.
CBS' Moonves disses Aereo as 1Q earns top views

Chief Executive Les Moonves gave an upbeat view of the health of broadcast TV Wednesday as the company reported strong results for the first three months of the year. He also dismissed startup Aereo as an "insignificant player" that was stealing CBS' signal. Moonves told investors that Aereo has "gotten way too much attention" from the news media

Comcast's Q1 fueled by price hikes
May 1, 2013 1:49 pm | by Brian Santo | News | CommentsPrice increases on video service and customers upgrading to HD packages and digital video recorders (DVRs) helped boost Comcast’s first quarter profit by 17 percent. It lost 60K basic video subs, but increased its broadband subscriber count by 433,000 in the quarter. It also added 211,000 new voice customers.
