Time Warner Cable accelerates IntelligentHome rollouts

Time Warner Cable finished up last year with IntelligentHome available in six of its markets.
Harmonic sets up cloud transcoding service

Study: Core router market continues slide in 4Q

Dell’Oro Group’s latest research said market revenue core routers dropped because network operators cut back investments on their backbone networks.
Omnitel extends fiber to the home

Comcast connects city of West Haven

Comcast is providing West Haven with high-speed Internet access and voice services that connect city hall to 17 municipal locations, including West Haven's three libraries, six firehouses, the high school, beach patrol offices and the police department.
Study: GPON, VDSL bright spots in broadband gear market

For the full year, worldwide spending on broadband aggregation equipment was down 10 percent to $6.65 billion, with DSL equipment plunging 26 percent.

Aurora strikes $46M deal to buy Harmonic’s Cable Access division

Comcast all in on NBCUniversal; broadband subs drive Q4
February 13, 2013 3:20 pm | by Mike Robuck | News | CommentsComcast announced that it was buying out General Electric’s 49 percent stake in NBCUniversal for $16.7 billion instead of waiting until next year’s previously scheduled date of July to take full control of NBCUniversal. Comcast earned $1.52 billion, or 56 cents per share, in the fourth quarter.
