Study: TV Everywhere still hamstrung by licensing issues

Infonetics Research pinged pay-TV operators in regard to their multi-screen video services and delivering live and file-based content to subscribers across multiple devices.
Cablevision launches Spanish Web portal

The new Web portal knits together Cablevision’s Optimum services with full Spanish-language features.
Time Warner Cable, Vudu among customer wins for Jinni

Vudu’s streaming service is available through Wal-Mart. The Jinni service is powered by the Entertainment Genome.

Aereo to make its streaming service available in 22 more cities

Aereo launched its streaming service in New York City and was promptly sued by major broadcast networks.

CES: Cablevision connects with Netflix on CDN deal

Other ISPs that have signed on to use Netflix’s Open Connect include Virgin Media and British Telecom.
CES: Arris debuts Comcast RDK-based gateway

Netgear adds Sling; Sling expands features

Meanwhile, Sling Media has upgraded the search and navigation software for its own Slingbox products. Netgear has added the SlingPlayer to its NeoTV OTT boxes, including the NeoTV Prime with Google TV.
