ThinkAnalytics has landed a deal with Swisscom to power search and recommendation features on its new TV 2.0 Android IPTV set-top boxes and legacy set-top boxes. Swisscom is leveraging ThinkAnalytics’ platform across its live, linear, replay TV and VOD services.
Comcast has added an official extension for Google Chrome that supports more than 50 live TV channels and on demand content from its Xfinity TV Go web portal. The Chrome feature is the latest enhancement to Comcast’s stable of TV Everywhere products and services that are available to its authenticated subscribers.

Verizon Communications Inc., the country's fourth-largest home Internet service provider, sent a letter to Netflix Inc. on Thursday, telling it to stop blaming Verizon for bad video quality or face a lawsuit. Verizon is reacting to messages appearing on the screens of some Netflix subscribers, blaming Internet service providers for poor video quality.
The deal will allow the bookseller to focus on developing its Nook digital software and away from building its own tablets. RCN has started offering its subscribers the TiVo T6 HD DVR that comes with six tuners and a 1 terabyte hard drive for storage. Multi-screen video vendor Vubiquity announced this morning that it was buying UK-based FilmFlex, the latter of which is one of the largest white label VOD and multiplatform providers outside of the United States. Netflix will expand into Germany, France and four other European countries later this year as the Internet video service tries to build an international following that might eventually surpass its U.S. audience. The additional markets announced Wednesday will extend Netflix's reach into nearly 50 countries, including 13 in Europe.
