Adobe announced a set of new analytics features for its PrimeTime product that will make it easier to both monitor the quality of TV everywhere streams and evaluate viewer behavior. The new capabilities come with a new per-stream pricing model. Adobe also announced thatTBS is the latest customer of Primetime.
A recent ad campaign run by Comcast Media 360 demonstrates that ads on TV and ads delivered via broadband-connected platforms affect significantly different consumer groups. The implication is that multi-screen delivery, which service providers are still struggling to monetize, can be highly valuable in ad campaigns by reaching different consumer constituencies.
Universal Sports Network announced it has a distribution deal in place with Cox Communications. Cox is offering Universal Sports Network’s Olympic, endurance and adventure sports programming to its Cox Advanced TV subscribers. The multi-year deal also granted Cox TV Everywhere rights.
Liberty Global executive Peter Dorr raised the possibility of creating a pan-European Wi-Fi network that would be free to cable subscribers. Dorr also spoke about the ease with which Liberty Global was able to update its Horizon multi-screen service, which is based on ActiveVideo’s cloud-based technology.

Belgacom has selected Edgeware’s Distributed Video Delivery Network (D-VDN) system for multiscreen delivery of both live and on-demand video. Belgacom previously deployed Edgeware IPTV technology to enable a networked PVR (nPVR) service. Belgacom installed Edgeware’s D-VDN alongside its nPVR system this past summer.

Netflix has broken through the pay TV barrier by announcing this morning it will integrate its streaming service with Virgin Media’s TiVo set-top boxes. Starting this week, Virgin Media subscribers with TiVo set-top boxes will be able to toggle back and forth between Netflix’s streaming library and Virgin Media’s content from the same guide.

Time Warner Cable is now serving up episodes of AMC’s “Mad Men,” “The Walking Dead,” “Breaking Bad,” and other shows out-of-home on its TWC TV app. The AMC video content is the latest addition to Time Warner Cable’s out-of-home VOD offering, which was first announced on iOS devices in April.

The college football season kicks off this week and most of Charter Communications’ subscribers will now be able to keep track of the all the action with ESPN Goal Line. Authenticated Charter customers that subscribe to the cable operator’s Sports Tier and Digi Tier 2 packages can access ESPN Goal Line, as well as ESPN Buzzer Beater when the college hoops season tips off, in HD.
AT&T and ESPN announced that AT&T subscribers can now access the Longhorn Network’s live video content online and on their iPhone and iPod touch devices. AT&T customers that have the Longhorn Network as part of their video package can authenticate themselves with their member IDs and passwords.
