SeaChange wins two more multi-screen customers

SeaChange racked up two more customers for its Adrenalin multi-screen video software, neither of which were identified beyond describing them as one North American and one Latin American service provider. One of the two also selected SeaChange’s Nitro multi-screen user experience software.

Cablevision secures roaming rights to NBCU content

The new agreement with Cablevision includes what NBCUniversal called expansive rights to on-demand content from its cable and broadcast network portfolio, as well as access to live channels across multiple platforms, both in and out of the home.

Report: MoCA STB sales increase 33% in Q1

The Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) standard is the driving force behind the growth in home networking devices, and in the third quarter of this year, MoCA set-top box sales increased 33 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago.

Shaw to add more Wi-Fi hotspots in Winnipeg

Shaw Communications has signed an agreement with the city of Winnipeg to offer its Wi-Fi service in more locations across the city, including libraries, arenas, recreation facilities and community centers. The Wi-Fi hotspots can be accessed by Shaw subscribers.

Avail-TVN provisions VOD service for Cablevision Argentina

Cablevision Argentina has picked Avail-TVN to launch a video-on-demand (VOD) service to its subscriber base of more than 3 million cable TV customers. Cablevision On Demand includes a range of both transaction VOD (TVOD) and subscription VOD (SVOD) services.

Elemental eases YouTube Live production

Arris targets ads at TelcoTV

Google reporting error reveals troubling Q3

Motorola unleashes megapixel transcoder

Motorola Mobility is introducing what it claims is the first 3 gigapixel adaptive bit rate (ABR) transcoder. The Motorola GT-3’s ability to process 3 billion pixels of video content per second is equivalent to nearly 50 full-resolution HD programs, the company said.

Massillon goes multi-screen with Motorola’s Medios platform
