Amino gets add-on Wi-Fi from Celeno

Amino Communications will be offering a USB Wi-Fi dongle, built around Celeno’s Wi-Fi chipsets and including software for HD multimedia home networking applications, with its A140/A540 set-top boxes. These models are designed for the retail market for IP-based services.

Pac-12 Networks opens coverage without DirecTV

The Pac-12 Networks opened it football coverage with the Utah-Northern Colorado game, with DirecTV subscribers unable to watch because of a distribution stalemate. The network also televised the Arizona State-Northern Arizona game and has exclusive rights to 15 nonconference games and 20 Pac-12 games this season.

France’s Bouygues Telecom is installing Pace’s Helium Unified Gateway Software to enable faster rollouts of new services and apps across a range of gateway devices. Coming on the heels of a successful trial run at the Olympics, Adobe Systems announced it has upgraded its Adobe Pass platform to its second version. Adobe put Adobe Pass 2.0 through its paces during the recent 2012 London Olympic Games, which served as a milestone for TV Everywhere services.
